At O’Hara, we believe that a thriving workplace is built on the contributions, resilience, and brilliance of every person in it and on International Women’s Day 2026, we took a meaningful pause to celebrate exactly that. This International Women’s Day 2026’s theme, “Give to gain,” resonated deeply with our team. We chose this to frame our celebration around because when we invest in women, we build stronger teams, stronger businesses, and a stronger world.
The celebration of international women’s day began with recognition. Our management team took center stage to deliver a heartfelt shoutout to each of the 11 remarkable women who make O’Hara what it is today. Each woman was acknowledged not as a job title, but as an individual for her unique strengths, her daily impact, and the irreplaceable role she plays in our collective success. From the meticulous thinker who keeps our projects on track, to the creative force who breathes life into our client solutions, to the steady hand that holds our operations together each name called out was a reminder of how deeply talent shows up in its many forms. This was more than a shoutout. It was an intentional act of visibility because seen employees are inspired employees.
What followed was one of the most powerful moments of the day. In a rare and refreshingly human gesture, members of the O’Hara management team opened about the women who have shaped their lives on the women’s day. They spoke about mothers who modelled strength without ever asking for credit. Partners who offered counsel in the quiet moments between big decisions. Mentors who saw potential before it was fully formed. Daughters who redefined what ambition looks like for the next generation.
Followed by that, the women of O’Hara came together for a series of team-building games and activities designed to spark laughter, encourage collaboration, and deepen the bonds that make our team more than just colleagues. In the spirit of International Women’s Day, the games were a celebration of camaraderie. At O’Hara, we invest in these moments because we know that a team that laughs together, grows together.
In keeping with this year’s “Give to Gain” theme of international women’s day, every woman at O’Hara was presented with a beautiful succulent plant, a small but deeply symbolic gift. Why a succulent? Because like the women we celebrated, succulents are resilient. They thrive under pressure. They require little to give a lot. And with proper care, they grow quietly, consistently, and with remarkable grace. It was a tangible reminder that the act of giving of investing time, energy, recognition, and opportunity into women yields returns that compound far beyond the moment of giving itself.
The afternoon closed with a celebratory lunch, bringing the team together around the table. It was a moment to breathe, to connect informally, and to simply enjoy being together.
International Women’s Day is observed globally on March 8th each year, but at O’Hara, we are committed to ensuring that the values it champions equity, inclusion, recognition, and investment in women are not reserved for a single day on the calendar. The 11 women in our team are not a statistic. They are architects of our culture, drivers of our results, and ambassadors of our values every single day.
